Its been a while since I posted anything related to making money online, so I thought I should review tnx.net in this post as it is quicly becoming a good income source for lots of bloggers and webmasters.

TNX is a quickly growing ad network similar in concept to text-link-ads but with main differences which I’ll be mentioning later on this post, at the time of writing this post, TNX has around 41,948 users, over 33 million links and more than 26 million pages indexed.

The main difference between TNX and other text link ad networks is that TNX allows webmasters to sell links on every page in their website and not just the main page, which is a huge advanatge for sites with lots of pages indexed in Google such as forums and portals.

Signing up for TNX is pretty straight fwd. and simple, the account you create is both an advertiser and a publisher account, there is no need for you to create two accounts for each part, which is something I liked in their system.

Because of the fact that publishers are allowed to place links on all of their website’s pages, link prices are generally cheap, with a small budget you can buy hundreds of links in almost any category you need, TNX also uses a new system for payments based on points, links sold on your pages will get you points, the value of your pages are determined based on your PR, you can exchange your points with real cash at any time, the price is around $0.7 for 1000 points.

TNX has a generous affiliate program, they pay 13.3% of all TNX-points generated by a referred publisher, and 5% of all payments made by referred advertisers for the lifetime of the accounts.

Generally speaking TNX is a great money maker for websites with large numbers of pages, forums from what I’ve seen do extremely well with TNX, so if you own a forum or a site with lots of pages, I would recommend you give TNX a try especially that you can place the links in the footer part of your website. PR0 pages will pay you around $0.008 per link per page, if you’ve got a site with tens of thousands of PR0 pages, well you do that math.

In this post I try to round up every monetization method I can think of that can be utalized by bloggers and website owners to further monetize their websites, some of them you may know, others might be new.

1- CPM Ads

Probably one of the oldest and most well know methods of monetizing your website, you get paid an X amount for every 1000 impressions on your site (viewing a banner is an impression)

Some of the more well know CPM ad networks include:

• Value Click Media (min. site requirements, more than 3000 monthly page views, English only, more requirements)
• CasaleMedia (min. site requirements, 10,000 monthly uniques, English and Spanish sites only, more requirements)
• BurstMedia (min. site requirements, 20,000+ monthly page views, English sites only, more requirements)
• Tribal Fusion (min. site requirement, 2000 daily uniques, more requirements)

Some of the lesser know networks include:

• BannerConnect
• MediaShakers

2- CPA Ads

Cost Per Action Ads, you get paid when someone you refer, either by displaying a banner, text link or through an email Ad, buys or signs up for something, it depends on the advertisers, CPA offers pay anywhere between $0.2 to $200 and more, the higher the payout is, the harder it is to get a lead, CPA ads or affiliate marketing is extremely popualr and extremely competetive, especially in certain niches such as ring tones, some of the more popular CPA networks include (some are aff .links):

• CPAEmpire Excellent support, try to get Doug to be your account manager, he’s very helpful (Affiliate FAQ)
• CPAStorm Good daily updated offers emailed to you
• MaxBounty Lots of incentive offers here, but be careful if you own an incentive site
• Hydranetwork haven’t personally tried them but I’ve heard good think about them
• Neverblueads Haven’t personally tried them
• Millnicmedia Recently applied and things look good so far
• Commission Junction Didnt like them allot, support isnt fast, but lots of offers there

3- Contextual PPC Ads

PPC Ads or contextual Ads, Google Adsense and Yahoo! Publisher Network (YPN) come to mind when ever you hear this term, a part from those two programs that everyone is familiar with, you can find the follow networks useful (aff. links):

4- Popunders & Popunders

Popunders and popups are popular with sites like proxies and online arcades, they usually pay well (either CPM and CPC basis) some of the CPM networks mentioned above offer those Ad options, I usually don’t use them mainly because they piss off users.

5- Text link ads

A new monetization method when compared to other older methods like CPM, in this type the advertiser hand picks the website he/she wants to advertise on, price of the link is usually determined by the network it self and it depends on lots of factors (Google PR, link popularity, technorati rank, Alexa rank and others), some of the more well known sites are:

• Text Link Ads
• TNX

6- Blog reviews

If you own a blog and your not making at least some money out of it (I am assuming you do want to make money out of it) then you should definitely read on, it doesn’t matter how popular your blog is, its PR or its technorati rank to make money out of your blog (of course the more of these you have the more you’ll make) but you can definitely make some bucks out of:

• ReviewMe (advertisers selects the blog, ReviewMe recommends a suitable price for your blog depending on its popularity but you can set your own prices)
• Pay Per Post (You select the offers that your blog qualifies for)
• Blogsvertise (Advertisers selects the blog and determines the price, make sure to accept or reject the offer or you’ll account be disabled after some time)

7- Product ads

I placed these companies in their own category for a number of reasons, mainly because they are growing in popularity (thus they deserve their own point) and because they mainly display product ads, they pay on a PPC basis and most of them are contextual (optional in most), they include (aff. links):

• ShoppingAds, displays Amazon products and claims high CPC rate.
• AuctionAds, displays Ebay auctions, originally launched by Shoemoney and later acquired by MediaWhiz.
• WidgetBucks, unlike the 2 other sites, Widgetbucks displays product ads in a nice interactive widget which helps improve CTR
• Ttzmedia, owned by JohnChow

8-Toolbar installs

Lots of the affiliate networks mentioned in point 2 have toolbar offers (you get paid when a member installs the toolbar), howver, websites in this category pay you a recurring fee for users who you refer install/use the toolbar, I havent tried this type of monetization yet but I’ve seen some do well with them. Making money online is really easier than some people think, of course it all depends on how much money were talking here, but pulling in some extra cash with not much effort or investment is pretty easy, today I’ll be giving a tip to those starting out fresh in this field, especially to those with limited budgets.

You might have heard about lots of people making lots of money money from blogging, there are many ways to do that, some take the network path, which is probably one of the best ways to get a nice large check at the end of the month, however building a blog network isn’t that easy, it requires lots of time and money, and for people starting out with working online, spending $1000 to setup a blog network isn’t always the preferred option.

So, how can you start making money out of blogging the easy way? 1st of all let me introduce you the concept of the concept that this method revolves around, allot of companies and website owners realize the value of a good post/link from a good blog, thats why services such as Payperpost and Review me popped up, those services basically connect advertisers with publishers (you) which basically means that all you need to do is setup a “good” blog and start earning some money.

Allot of advertisers base the value of your blog on:

1. Google PR
2. Alexa rank
3. Technorati rank

Most of these attributes are easy to gain, most of advertisers particularly look for PR (whether thats the right thing to do or not is a different topic) and there are two ways to increase your PR, the 1st one is setup a new blog on a new domain, build links to the website and wait for about 3 months for the next PR update, or you can buy a domain name that already has a PR and some authority, setup a blog on it and start blogging, a couple of places you can check out for expired domains are:

1. Dnforum
2. Namepros
3. Sitepoint

You can probably snatch a PR4 to PR5 domain for about $50 if you were quick enough to BIN it in time.

Its probably a good idea to write some content on your blog before applying to websites like PPP and Reviewme, Blogvertise.com is also another website you can check out, from my own calculations, you can make around $300 to $500 per month from one PR5 blog, especially if you build up its Alexa and technorati rankings, with more money coming in, you can afford to build links to your main blog, and when the time is right, setup another blog and so on, before you know it, you’ll have a large network of blogs pulling in some good $$$

You’ll eventually need a reseller hosting plan to host your blogs, but you can start off with a shared hosting plan that allows you to add a couple of addon domains to your main account.

You can always add more revenue models to your blogs by adding Google ads, Auction ads or whatever you want, the blogs will start getting search engine traffic by time so you might want to make some extra cash out of that too.
