Projects in the Pipeline

Well I am mainly going to blog today about the projects that are in the pipeline, things that I’ve been planning for and other websites that I’ve already started working on.

Before I dive into that, I would 1st like to let you guys know how satisfying it is to get an email from a happy customer, I got an email earlier last week from a client at pagerankincrease which was actually a testimonial about the service, she was happy for getting a higher PR than what she ordered, you can checkout her testimonial here.

Webhosting Directory

I originally had started a web hosting directory around a year ago, but I never got really involved in marketing the website for a number of reasons, mainly because I didn’t get attached to the website, maybe because of its .be domain extension, I just let the domain expire around a month ago and didn’t even bother to renew it.

Well right now I am planning to start a new web hosting directory, and this one will be huge, I’ll be working closely with my good friend Imad on this one, I’ve got an excellent domain name for the website as well, I’ve also layed out a good plan of marketing the website, getting it a PR boost and getting lots of listing in the directory, were probably going to promote some CJ affiliate offers on it till we start selling advertising.

New Forum – Talkhumor.com

Been a while since I sold talkhomebusiness.com and since then I haven’t started or owned another forum, I still own post4hosting and it does have an active community, but I am not visiting it much lately, its been running itself for a while, I’ve got a good moderating staff there, and hosting and upgrades are all automated, I am really looking fwd. to starting talkhumor.com, I’ve got the vB license, which is the easiest part, still have to get a good looking skin and integrate it into vB, most probably I’ll be partnering with Imad for this project as well.

Damn Proxies!

Proxies

Proxyheat.com did it again, it nearly took my server down 2 days ago, I couldn’t believe how traffic grew on it so fast after leaving it offline for more than a month, I originally was hosting it on my server, then it started consuming too much server resources that I moved it to godaddy on one of their shared web hosting plans that come with 250GB bandwidth, so I thought it will never use that much, the next thing I know I got an email with a request to pay $70 in bandwidth overcharges, thing is the whole yearly plan i got was for $35, lol, so I just pulled the plug on the site for a month or so.

I think all of this is comes down to my proxy allowing hot linking, apparently phproxy allows hot linking! phproxy release a beta version of their new proxy with an option to turn off hotlinking, but I’de rather wait until they release something stable before changing all my proxies to it, till then proxyheat is offline!

Vbulletin License

I bought a vB license around a week ago for a project which apparently wont be needing it anymore, so if anyone is interested in a good deal, email me, its a leased license btw, are those transferable?

M4A

My good friend Paul who is my partner in this project has been pushing me to finish the site so he can start marketing it, I know that I’ve been way too late in finishing this site, but I’ve been extremely busy with other projects especially project F, which hopefully will be done real soon (I keep saying the same thing over and over) most of M4A has been finished, there isnt any development work that needs to be done, all that I need to do is figure how to add CJ and other affiliate networks to the website and were ready to go, I’ll do my best to finish the site this weekend Paul :)

EDIT:

After investigating the issue of proxyheat, it turns out that a number of porn websites were using my proxy to hotlink to images, no wonder the proxy used more than 250GB’s of bandwidth in less than a month!

Haven’t Been Doing Much

Things have been going slow lately, mostly because I haven’t been doing much work and wasting time here and there, not much updates on my websites, I found some bugs in the wallpaper site and the humor site, the wallpaper site is all fixed now and I am still waiting for the bugs on the humor site to be fixed, I also bought 2 video packs for the site and I am waiting for the bugs to be fixed to install them.

I’ve setup a new proxy site as well, these sites are so easy to promote, the sites hasn’t finished a month and its already getting around 100 uniques per day with absolutely no paid promotion.

There is this one major site that I am working on, this will be my absolute biggest project for the upcoming months that I am actually thinking of putting anything else on hold, I am not going to get into more details now, but I’ll tell you this, the site is based on affiliate programs from Azoogle, CJ and others. Some of you might be familiar with such sites, especially those of you who are into affiliate marketing, to others this will be a new concept to them.

Not sure if I mentioned this earlier but I sold my main arcade site, www.myspacerush.com I still have another un-developed arcade that I am thinking to develop with a friend, arcades are also very easy to promote and get traffic to with a considerably small budget, compared to other sites. Ive found that arcades are easier to promote than myspace resource sites, I originally planned on starting a number of those myspace resource sites, like layout4myspace.com which I also recently sold, but I don’t think ill be doing those any more.

I’ve got some new hosting clients too, which is great because I have done anything to get them, no advertising or forum posting, which means they either came through search engines or through word of mouth, either of them is great, Ive actually thought of finishing up the new design I got some time ago and launching the new site but I always find a way for not doing that, I guess I am becoming a bit lazy when it comes to writing new content especially for a hosting site, probably because I am not into hosting as I used to be 2 years ago.

I’ve been giving post4hosting allot of thought lately, a new partnership with a hosting forum was one option that I talked about with a friend who owns a part of that forum, apparently they are excited about the idea of merging the two forums together and offering the p4h members a way to keep the hosting if they stay active in the hosting forum, I am not sure if this is the best way for doing it, as members of that forum would want to get free hosting as well, and in the end it will turn to be another post4hosting, and I am not really sure if this a good thing for both sites.

That’s it for now, let me get back and try to do some work for a change!

Affiliate maketing updates

Hey all, its been a long time since I posted here and I apologize for that, I’ve been reminding myself this past week to post a blog update and just got around doing it.

As I’ve mentioned in my last blog post, I have started with CPA offers, I got accepted into AzoogleAds (non aff. link) around 10 days ago, AzoogleAds for those who dont know them are one of the biggest and best CPA (Cost Per Action) networks out there, and getting accepted usually takes sometime, however I talked with on of their Account Managers on MSN and he expedited the process and got me accepted in the same day!

I’ve also had a CJ account for a while now but never really used it or promoted some of the offers they have (besides placing a small banner for Godaddy on p4h) CJ has a great collection of web hosting offers which I also have started promoting.

There is just so much going on right now, CPA marketing has taken over my mind, I am trying a bunch of new stuff right now, mostly with landing pages and PPC, Azoogle has a bunch of great ringtone and dating offers that work well with PPC, however competition is fierce in those 2 niches and you gotta find a way to break into it, good keyword research is a must with PPC marketing as bidding on keywords like ring tones will probably get you no where, especially that your promoting a CPA offer, in this case ringtones which means people need to signup (paid) in order for you to get paid, which is way harder than getting clicks on your Adsense ads IMHO.

I will try my best and post a full update regarding how I am doing with CPA offers and I do plan on posting what steps anyone planning to get into CPA marketing should take to get him off the ground quickly.

Back to my other sites, www.wallpaperfreedom.com is finished at last, the coder I hired to integrate the skin and do some custom coding to add some features to the script was 2 weeks late, but its not up at last and I’ve started doing some link building for it, if you have a related website please do email me. I still have to load it with new wallpapers which I also have started doing.

My 1st humor website is also now up and running, free funny videos was only done yesterday, I am going to load it with a bunch of new videos and images before I start any marketing for the website, plans are to start a bunch of these humor websites, I’ll probably do that with a partner to share the workload and marketing costs.

Pagerankincrease.com is also now up with a new skin, the previous I had didn’t look that good although its been online for about 2 months only, well anyways here is a preview of the skin:

I grabbed uploadq.com the other day, I think its a great name, planning to setup an image host for now there and probably move it to a file/image host at a later stage.

That’s all for now, take care all and good luck with your sites!

Affiliate Marketing

Its official, I am getting into affiliate marketing, I haven’t been doing any affiliate marketing although my roots (when I 1st started on the internet) was based around affiliate marketing, I’ve been spending loads of time lately researching and getting a grip of the latest trends in this industry, what are the popular programs everyone is using, what kind of marketing tactics are used to drive traffic to your affiliate based web pages.

I now have a very good idea of how it all works, since as I said I started out on the internet as an affiliate marketer, but things have changed, well probably things haven’t changed much, but I didn’t know 3 years ago what I know now.

Azoogle and CJ (commission junction) seem to be two of the widest used programs, although there are a number of programs that I am looking into, allot of people are making huge $$ out of affiliate marketing, its mainly based around setting up a webpage or a website the promotes a certain affiliate product, and you drive traffic to this page/site through PPC or any other form of online advertising, I can say that this is the main idea of the whole thing, of course, this can be done in so many ways and its not as simple as it sounds, so many factors get into the success of such a system, such as:

  • Your AD copy and how well written it is.

  • Correcrt research of the industry keywords, bidding on the wrong keywords can be a total waste of cash.

  • A good landing page is vital for making sales. Which reminds me of a book I need to read!

  • Selecting the right time to start an advertising campaign might also be important.

There seems to be allot of potential in affiliate marketing and it would be stupid not to try it out, I’ll keep you all updated on how things go.

Thats its for now, take care all.

Lots on 1 plate

So lets see whets on the plate today! been a while since my last update, quite allot has happened since then:

New Blog Skin

As you can all see, I got a new skin for the blog and I am very happy about it, so far feedback has been all positive, I snatched this skin from TF for a very good price, I hired vi5 (Andy) to code the skin and he did a good job, so what do you guys think of the skin? its about time isn’t it!

Wallpaperfreedom

I’ve decided to make wallpaperfreedom.com one of my main project for the 2-3 months to come along with one more project, I already ordered a skin and and the designer finished it the other, I am currently getting it coded, I’ll share a preview with you guys ASAP, I will also be looking for partnerships/advertising with/on similar websites, if you have a website related to wallpapers and desktop themes, please email me with your rates.

Pagerankincrease.com

I finished setting up the new website with the new content, I’ve got some potential clients sending in emails, mainly asking why does the website have a PR4, which is a kinda logical I guess, I usually answer by this is a new website and were still in the 1st months of our launch, so, I’ve delayed my plans for advertising the website and decided to do some link building and bring the PR to 6 at least before starting any kind of paid advertising.

Myspacerush.com

Myspacerush has been doing great lately, getting around 400 uniques per day and growing, were hoping to hit 1000 uniques per day in a month’s time.

Forumshock

My good friend Bryan Le has decided to donate 50% of forumshock’s profits to the United Way Charity Organization, how kind of him right? you can find more details about this campaign at his website, I would really recommend his service as a previous customer, so your not getting an excellent service only! your also donating to a charity!

Paid Plugs/Posts

As you noticed, Tyler paid me for a post about his new forums, I originally never thought of making any profit from this blog, I was also offered placing a banner on the blog, but I dont think ill ever do that, I’ll probably keep it to paid plugs only every now and then.

Blog design and more

Yes, I am getting a new skin for my blog, at last! I snatched a pretty cool skin from TF the other day and I sent it to vi5 from EF to code, I heard good things about him and some recommended him to do the coding job, it should be ready in 3-4 days, I can’t wait!

I’ve been buying some skins lately, not sure what I will use them for, but I can’t say no to a good deal, I bought a directory skin from TF as well the other day, I was planning to code it and install it on my new website directory however, I found another cool (free) skin so I decided to use it instead, so now I am looking to sell the directory skin I bought, you can see a preview of the skin here. And its being sold for $35 only!

I’ve started getting some new website submissions to the directory with almost no advertising, which is always cool, I am planning to do some major link building for the site and hopefully bring it up to a PR5 with the new update, which in turn will mean charging money for links, so if you haven’t done so already, submit your website now ;)

So what else is new, not pretty sure, I had a look over the links I am placing for other blogs, some were dead so those are gone, if you had a link there and for some reason your blog was down at the time I checked it, send me an email and I’ll place the link back :)

Pagerankincrease’s new design is finished and coded, its pretty simple, nothing fancy about it, just the way I want it to be, I am currently rewriting some of the material on the old website, the new website should be up and running in 2-3 days.

I met an old college friend the other day, we went out for some pizza and had an interesting discussion about a project we had in mind, he’s a web/graphics designer so that’s good! we will definitely need a designer in this project, I won’t release any details about the project now, but I’ve already registered a domain for it, and things seem to be going smoothly, however this would be a huge project and we probably will be looking for an outside investor. We’ll see how that goes.

As promised, here is a quick update, I wanted to share some new logo’s I got for Page rank increase

I am leaning towards the one at the top right corner, which one do you think is the best?

This website will not offer a simple page rank increase service, anyone can go out and buy links on high PR sites, this website will offer this service in a new and more beneficial way for the clients, I want release any details now, you will read all about it when the new website is launched.
Blog Traffic

I never really thought that this blog when grow to the stage it is at right now when I 1st started it, the blog has been getting some nice traffic lately, and I am happy about that, here is a screen shot of this months traffic.

Its not huge traffic, but you need to keep in mind the quality of this traffic, most of who visit this blog are webmasters and internet entrepreneurs. I’ve seen some other blogs that post paid plugs, which is usually a description of a website with a link to the website, I am not sure if I am going to do that yet, but if anyone is interested, contact me. But I wont be making any recommendations for the website, I’ll just post the text, nothing more, nothing less.
Well anyways, thats it for now, later!

My Mistakes

Been a while since my last blog post, not happy about it, but sometime, nothing much I can do about it!

I am currently writing these words with my eyes half closed, and no, its not even mid night, yesterday was a very long day, I spent most of the day, so I didn’t get a good chance to work on my sites, but I didn’t work on them pretty well in the weekend (over here, Fri. and Sat. are the weekend)

During this weekend I came to the decision to work on one website at a time, my biggest mistake was starting new websites, stop working on them in the middle, and then start a new one, so, from now, I will be working and putting my efforts into one website at a time, for at least 2-3 months until the website stands on its feet and starts bringing in some steady income.

Talkhomebusiness forums are getting a bit busier these days, I am not sure why but I am happy about it. I also got some new advertisers on both THB and p4h.

Myspacerush.com is doing great, me and Imad are currently buying links on various gaming related websites, got a bunch so far and were still looking for more, so if you have a gaming/arcade website and your selling links on it, shoot me an email.

Ah btw, how did the PR update go for you? myspacerush got a nice PR5, a number of my PR0 websites jumped to a PR3, 2 PR4′s dropped to PR3′s (I expected that) and other sites remained the same.

Pagerankincrease

Pagerankincrease.com is getting a new design, with a new logo, I already got the 1st concept, and I am currently waiting on a couple of more concepts, I will post them once I have them, would be great if you guys help me in choosing one! This site may very well be the project that I am going to work on, the content is already written, I researched potential websites in various industries for possible link purchases and I already know how I am going to promote it, we’ll have to wait and see.

Websites up for sale

So far, we’ve sold 2 websites from the 5 websites we originally put up for sale, I need to ge rid of those websies ASAP! here are the 3 websites that haven’t been sold yet.

http://www.textop.net/
http://www.myfreelayouts.info/
http://www.imagejunction.info/

We have lowered the BIN on these 3 websites to $69, if your interested, send me an email to admin[at]talkhomebusiness.com, dont be afraid to send any offers!

As for SEO, Post4hosting jumped to the 1st page on Google for “Free linux hosting” without the quotes, I am really happy about this jump, especially that I didn’t put much effort into optimizing it. The website still dominates Yahoo! and MSN for this search term as well.

btw, Rand from seomoz.org posted about the Secret Google Pages, I suggest you check it out ;)

I will do my best to post another update as soon as I have the new set of logo concepts.

The move!

Nope, its not the movie, post4hosting.com is growing at a fast rate, and I need to move it to a new server!

Been a while since my last post, I apologize for that, its been crazy around here, I spent the last few days looking at accounts on the cheetah server, suspending suspicious accounts, and cleaning up old suspended accounts, I decided to do this long overdue cleanup after being informed by the DC of a paypal fraud site being hosted on my server! my server! do you believe that crap, it seems that the guy ordered using a fake credit card, taking advantage of the instant setup that I offer, well, no more instant setup, from now on, all credit card orders will be activated 2 days later once the order is verified and passed the security checks, I had to endure a long downtime when the DC took the server down because of this stupid site.

Well anyways, back to post4hosting, I’ve managed with the help of Nick to finish the last updates on the services offered by p4h, integrated ipanel into the system, offering instant account activations and forced ADs on the big hosting plans.

I am now preparing to move the hosted sites off the VPS and to a new server, lots of cpanel crashed have been happening lately, and you gotta keep the quality level to some state right ;)

I spent some times last week writing the new content for the new premiushosting design, man, I had this design finished and coded probably 3 months ago, and its still not online! its time I finish it and launch! I am sick of the TM template I am currently using on the site, nothing beats a custom design :D

I’ve been working lately with Imad on setting up some new sites and sell them right away, so far, we have set up 5 sites with custom designs! and they are going cheap, probably starting at $60 with a BIN of $109, the design on some of those sites alone is worth the BIN price, I have no doubt that those will be sold in 1 day, if your interested in any, send me an email before we start posting them around, probably in a day. Here are the urls:

http://www.myfreelayouts.info/
http://www.imagejunction.info/
http://www.mylayoutspace.info/
http://www.coolsms.info/
http://www.textop.net/

All domains are registered at domainsite and gets a free push!

Thewebdir.org

I always wanted to start a website directory, so here it is www.thewebdir.org is my latest website, I am planning to get a better design soon, it has search engine friendly urls, and I kept the directory structure short so that most links get a decent PR back links, I’ve alreadt started building links for this site, hopefully it will have a decent PR with the next PR update which sould be happening anytime soon.

New forum, Earnersforum.com!

I’ve joined yet another forum and added it to the list of forum I visit on a daily basis, the forum looks great and lots of webmasters have already joined, the forum is really active and its owned by Lee Dodd from forumtrends.com, I highyl recommend that you go and read about the guy, he’s a geniuos!
