Projects in the Pipeline
Well I am mainly going to blog today about the projects that are in the pipeline, things that I’ve been planning for and other websites that I’ve already started working on.
Before I dive into that, I would 1st like to let you guys know how satisfying it is to get an email from a happy customer, I got an email earlier last week from a client at pagerankincrease which was actually a testimonial about the service, she was happy for getting a higher PR than what she ordered, you can checkout her testimonial here.
Webhosting Directory
I originally had started a web hosting directory around a year ago, but I never got really involved in marketing the website for a number of reasons, mainly because I didn’t get attached to the website, maybe because of its .be domain extension, I just let the domain expire around a month ago and didn’t even bother to renew it.
Well right now I am planning to start a new web hosting directory, and this one will be huge, I’ll be working closely with my good friend Imad on this one, I’ve got an excellent domain name for the website as well, I’ve also layed out a good plan of marketing the website, getting it a PR boost and getting lots of listing in the directory, were probably going to promote some CJ affiliate offers on it till we start selling advertising.
New Forum – Talkhumor.com
Been a while since I sold talkhomebusiness.com and since then I haven’t started or owned another forum, I still own post4hosting and it does have an active community, but I am not visiting it much lately, its been running itself for a while, I’ve got a good moderating staff there, and hosting and upgrades are all automated, I am really looking fwd. to starting talkhumor.com, I’ve got the vB license, which is the easiest part, still have to get a good looking skin and integrate it into vB, most probably I’ll be partnering with Imad for this project as well.

I always wanted to start up a web hosting directory. That was one of the first sites I wanted to start up years ago. I wish you the best with it.

Awesome, just curious. Do you have any “features” that will set yourself above the rest of the Hosting Directories?

Well your comment made me think of something unique, I did make a feature list that most hosting directories already have, but I think I just came up with something unique that no other hosting directory came up with, I am going to talk with a developer to see the possibilities of implementing such a thing, I’ll hopefully blog about this real soon!

Just out of interest Sohaib, do you code and do graphics design for your own projects or do you contract it out?
If you contract it out, how does this normally work? Are the contractors local, what price etc.
Thanks for sharing!
By the way, I’ve just spent 3 days writing a keyword research tutorial on my blog that might interest you.

Xin, I outsource most/all of the design/development work, when I 1st started i did some of the development work myself, most of them are done online to freelancers directly, I do outsource jobs to freelancers through rentacoder.com as well.
Cost usually depends on the complexity and amount of work, there isn’t really a set figure for those.

Thanks Sohaib.
I want to find the best Web2.0 designers, and possibly coders. Browsing through hundreds of portfolios on rentacoder and elance has resulted in very little that interests me.
Any advice on the above is greatly appreciated.

I mainly use rentacoder when i need articles or when there is a complete development projetct that needs to be done, for designers, check out talkfreelance.com, Zane Jamal is also a good web2.0 designer, you can find his link in my link exchanges in the footer.
