Microsoft Buying Yahoo! ??!
Shemoney made a very interesting post about why he thinks Microsoft will buy Yahoo! in 2007, he listed 10 reasons for this assumption, and I have to agree with him, if you’ve seen the effort that Microsoft is putting to get a piece of the contextual market pie you would understand, they have been trying and spending lots on their new ADcenter but its just not working out for numerous reasons, mostly because their search engine doesn’t bring in any sufficient search volume for the advertisers.
I highly recommend that you go and read that article, I guess were going to have to wait and see what Microsoft plans to do in 2007.
Back to my news and websites, much has happened since my last update, and here is the rundown:
- Myspacerush.com sale is final, at last!
- M4A project almost finished.
- Marketing started for funnyvideohub.com
- More PPC Arbi news
- Project F seeing the light soon
Myspacerush Sale
Myspacerush sale is finally finalized, it has taken way longer than i expected and did screw up my schedule a bit, but all is good, the link building and some SEO that i did for the site paid out well, the site is getting lots of traffic from the search engines and its increasing on a monthly basis, so far its getting 2000+ uniques per day, which is not bad at all considering that i spent around $400 on link building for it.
M4A launching soon
Developing and integrating the script with the fast design i got for the site took longer than i expected, I am going to share some more info about the site in my post, its basically an incentive website where users register for a free account, which enables them to view a big number of sponsored offers, signing up for those offers gains them points (tracking the signup and crediting the members is the tricky part) once the users signs up for a sponsored offer, he gets points specified by the site’s admin, the site also supports a referral system where member’s can refer others and get a % of what those referred members make.
The concept isn’t new, its been around for a while, but there is so much crap going on in this industry mainly because of sites that scam their users, most sites offer payments through egold (yukk) while I will be offering payments via Paypal directly at the end of each month. I’ve partnered with an individual in the UK on this website mainly to help me market it since i probably have time to market it myself.
Funnyvideohub Marketing
Nothing out of the ordinary, getting links and plugs here and there, but those if done correctly can do magic, the site has been getting lots of traffic, page views increased dramatically, which is my main concern with such a website since its main source of income will be CPM ads.
PPC Arbi News
Nothing much on that front, I’ve almost finished setting up a couple of PPC arbi sites with a partner to test things out, I got the final set of articles yesterday so we should be good to go real soon, cant wait to get into PPC Arbti and see how things go.
Project F
Moving very slowly and I am not happy with it, the coder i hired (without mentioning names) had wasted allot of my time due to unseen circumstances on his side, things should move along real faster once i get the PSD’s sliced and xhtml/css coded, I will release more info about the project when its time, I am a bit hesitant in releasing this info due to the nature of the website and the competition.
On another note for those of you Azoogleads marketers, spybot seems to be removing Azoogleads cookies as reported my shoemoney, I have no idea why their doing this but it seems they are the only ones doing it so far, Adaware isn’t which is good news, but for those leads you generate that have spybot installed, you might not get credit for them due to spybot removing the cookies installed BY Azoogle, hope that Azoogle catches up on things and fix this issue.
